i was in a studio that looked nothing like the real Freq Shop. it was about three times the size and had all these different hospital-like hallways and doors. for some reason i could see the entire layout of the place from the centre of the room. on the wall was a great big sign. the font reminded me of my Ouija Board - the kind of lettering you might also see on one of those old circus ads. the words le Studio Freq Shop Incorporated were laid out like a rainbow. Dave T assured me that all the documents were legit and that i just had to sign and half the corporation would be mine. i thought it would be stupid to sign without reading it first. i remember scanning the giant sign again but there was no fine print. i told him i would think about it. so he left with Derek and i thought i heard him say "have a good one" as he closed the door. alone, i walked back into the studio and looked around at what was apparently soon to be half mine. then i heard something, walked right up to another of the exits and noticed the glass door had just been smashed. i panicked and stared at my phone. i could feel the dark rushing in through the cracks, like staring off into the trees on the side of a highway road in the dead of night.
when Amy woke me up, i had the belt from her bathrobe wrapped around my neck.
