So Amy is officially in on my little blogging secret. We were just sitting there at the restaurant waiting for the Yellow Tuna Tartar to arrive and I couldn't resist.
I'm surprised she didn't find out sooner - what with the blogger dashboard constantly hanging out in my favourites and all. Not that she's a snoop. At all. It's just that she's always borrowing my laptop to watch Netflix and, well, I though maybe she put two and two together and was just waiting for me to bring it up - as has been done in the past. Not so. Well, at least i know she's not snooping.
It was an interesting reaction. First she told me how she had also been thinking about starting a blog, which caught me by surprise. Then she wanted to know what my blog was about, to which I explained that it was quite personal and that she should probably just read it. To which she replied that she didn't necessarily have to read it if I didn't want her to. Then she asked me if I had written about her. Naturally. (I recall similar questions about Kamikaze songs in the past. "What's that song about? Who's the monkey on your shoulder? Is it about me?") I told her she should probably just read the blog.
Then she asked why Dead Air Nostalgic? To which I explained - for the first time, I might add - that aside from just sounding good to my ears and not being the name of someone else's blog, band, t-shirt company or what not, it was a reference to a longing for inner silence. To which she asked me how exactly I had introduced her in the blog.
To which I replied that she should really just read the blog. Then I changed the subject.
